What are CAM certifications and who needs to comply

CAM (Minimum Environmental criteria) are mandatory for all Italian public administrations (Legislative Decree No. 56 of 19 April 2017) that carry out public procurement (known as Green Public Procurement – GPP), as they set out the minimum environmental requirements that products must meet in order to reduce their environmental impact. In addition to public authorities, designers, construction companies and suppliers involved in public works must also comply with these regulations, using certified products to ensure compliance and sustainability in new builds and refurbishments.
